Privacy Policy

A plain look at how visitor data is handled.

What This Page Covers

This site is a guide to bike and e-bike tours in Washington, DC, from rides along the National Mall to private monument tours after dark. Like most websites, it collects a small amount of technical information when you visit, such as which pages are viewed and the type of device used. This page sets out what is collected and why.

Booking Links And Data

Tour listings on this site link out to a live booking page where you can reserve a ride, from the Monuments and Memorials Bike Tour to the Monuments at Night Bike Tour. Once you leave to book, any details you enter, including payment, are handled by the booking operator. We do not process those bookings or hold that information.

Cookies And Tracking

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses a limited number of them so pages load correctly and so we can see, in broad terms, which tour guides readers find useful, for example night rides versus e-bike tours. No cookie builds an advertising profile of you, and you can clear or block them in your browser settings at any time.

Your Choices And Rights

You control much of what happens in your browser. You can clear cookies, block them, or browse privately, and most browsers explain how in their help sections. Where the law gives you rights over personal data, such as the right to request access to it or ask that it be corrected or deleted, you can raise those requests through the contact page. Include enough detail so the relevant records can be found. Requests are handled within the timeframe the applicable law allows. If you believe a request has not been answered properly, you may raise the matter with your state attorney general or the relevant regulator.

Changes To This Policy

This policy may be revised from time to time, for instance when our tools or partners change. The version published here is always the one that applies. If a change materially affects how your data is treated, it will be noted on this page before it takes effect.
